Environmental Assessments
The purpose of an Environmental Assessment (EA) is to contribute to the betterment of the people of Ontario through the protection, conservation and wise management of the environment. The Environmental Assessment Act is applicable to any public body activities, major commercial or business enterprise activities, or personal activities that have entered into an agreement with the Minister of Environment.
An EA is a process which evaluates the potential environmental effects and benefits of a project. We, the Environmental Assessment Team, consider all elements of the environment including; natural, social, economic, and cultural conditions of a project site. By coordinating studies to represent these elements, we are able to incorporate findings and provide a clear scope of impacts the project may have on the surrounding area. We specialize in the integration of these elements into a preferred solution that meets the expectations of our clients, respects environmental sensitivities, and considers the needs of all stakeholders.
